Cream cheese frosting for cupcakes and pies

A cupcake becomes a cupcake with a delicious cream cap. Of course, the possibilities are almost limitless. From cream to butter to cream cheese and chocolate, almost everything can be used in any form.

I like to make a cream cheese frosting, in German about a "cream cheese coating" ago.


ingredients

For 12 cupcakes:

  • 150 g cream cheese
  • 150 g of powdered sugar
  • 150 g of soft butter
  • Ingredients for flavoring (orange / lemon peel finely chopped, vanilla pulp, flavor vials, etc.)
  • Food coloring (preferably gel or paste colors)

preparation

  1. Briefly butter the butter.
  2. Sift the icing sugar and stir.
  3. Add flavoring agent, cream cheese and, if necessary, gel color and stir with a whisk (!) Only as long as absolutely necessary (!) To a homogeneous mass. Please do not add anything liquid (apart from the classic flavor vial), as this will have a negative effect on the consistency.

After the preparation, the mass can be transferred directly into the piping bag, but it should then possibly be cooled down again in order to achieve a nice splash result.

I once dyed the mass in the pictures with the color "Ivory" and "Burgundy" from Wilton.
