Cream liqueur (similar to Baileys)

This drink is reminiscent of Baileys, is bad for the figure, can be enjoyed warm and cold (then preferably with ice) and is especially popular with women - making it perfect for a cozy Christmas or as a gift.

For the production you hardly need ingredients and time.

ingredients

  • 1 L cream
  • 200 g of sugar
  • 1 pck of vanilla sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder (if in stock: unsweetened) - alternative: nut nougat cream (eg Nuspli, Nutella or similar)
  • 2 tablespoons of instant coffee
  • 350 ml amaretto, whiskey, cognac or similar (depending on your taste)

preparation

  1. Heat cream (do not cook).
  2. Add the sugar, vanilla sugar, cocoa powder and coffee powder to the warm cream and dissolve.
  3. Allow to cool slightly.
  4. Add whiskey or alcohol of your choice and mix well.
  5. Put in a bottle and refrigerate.

Tips:

  • In the microwave or in the pot warmed up the liqueur is super delicious and is particularly suitable for cold winter evenings (who loves his hip gold, the whole thing can still miss a cream cap).
  • Enjoyed cold, the cream liqueur tastes best on ice cubes.
  • A delicious dessert can be conjured up with a few balls of vanilla, chocolate or walnut ice cream (other varieties will of course also go).
  • Arrange the ice cream balls and sprinkle with the cream liqueur. If you like, you can thicken the liqueur in advance. Decorate the ice still to taste: cream topping, chocolate sprinkles, crunchy crumbles, nuts (especially good, if briefly roasted with sugar in the pan), cookie crumbs, cinnamon or or or ...
  • The liqueur also goes well with waffles.
