Create grave plate yourself

Since my husband was cremated and a simple grave plate is expensive, I did everything myself.

A terrace plate (40 x 40 cm) selected in the hardware store and painted with letters / numbers. As a deco still a leaf or a flower to it ... no second has such a designed grave plate and it costs only a fraction of a Steinmetz plate.

xldeluxe_reloaded: I think it's not "reprehensible" to make such a record as a grave plate itself and in my eyes it looks quite professional.

I would not mind.

Anyone who does not have the money or is simply out of conviction against the overpriced products of the cemetery stonemason has found a good solution.

Maybe the deceased guy was even like me:

In no case, any brimstone after my death, keep everything as cheap as possible and please do not let the Undertaker please let it affect that "the dead should well be worth it".

I have an anonymous sea burial planned for me: I love the sea, have a very personal relationship to it and do not want my survivors have to worry about a grave. Since the deceased was burned, it was perhaps similar and there is enough a plate quite. It's not about bronze letters and Italian marble ........ nor about "the people" igel9: I also think that an expensive tombstone is not necessary. You should look after your loved ones during your lifetime and appreciate them. A grave can be very simple in my opinion, it is important to me that it looks neat and tidy.
