Cut foam very comfortably
In order to put my freshly pasted, blown-out chicken eggs to dry, I had to divide a very large foam plate (thickness 60mm) so that I could handle it well and put it aside quickly.
Place two teaspoons of household oil on an absorbent paper kitchen towel and pull a normal knife through this "wet" area: Absolutely effortlessly and without any further tweaks you can then cut through the foam board with a standard table knife - if necessary from the area below second time in the opposite direction - from bottom to top - again cut, if the knife does not cover the entire thickness on the first try.
By the way: At the Bauhaus, I was able to buy ready-made foam panels, which were then just waiting to be used again.
