Dahlia marker set
I love dahlias! Therefore, I also have about 30 different varieties! But all dahlia tubers look so similar, so I made a "Markierset" to distinguish.
But in the spring I have always been standing in front of the excavated tubers stored in the cellar, thinking, "Which one had grown especially high in the last year, and for the sorting of the colors; which looked like exactly? ", I made this year a Dahlia sorting set:
I have every dahlia blossom photographed and printed these pictures in color, otherwise the whole thing brings nothing ... (;-)), and then these individual pictures laminated (laminator and slides, I have tons of house). I punched them with a hole punch, and in autumn, when the dahlias are withering, I attach the respective pictures to the corresponding stems (with flower wire or similar).
In the spring I can see exactly which dahlia I have to plant at which place in the bed (big back, small forwards ... etc.)
And since these slides (unfortunately ...) are almost indestructible, I can recycle the year after year ...
Because: dahlias live LONG!
That's how easy it is!
And to the picture a comment: I've impaled all the pictures on a nail, then no one is lost ...
