Decorative picture frames made of styrofoam trim

Simple Styrofoam trims can be used to create great deco picture frames.

Since I still had a nice trim left, and did not know what I could do with it, I have just made a frame with it.

You need it for that

  • Cuttermesser
  • ruler
  • Craft glue (best polystyrene glue)
  • white wall paint
  • Styrofoam tray

This is how it's done

  1. I cut the strip into 4 pieces of equal length and then measured out the corners with the ruler and carefully separated them with the cutter knife.
  2. Glue the four parts together with the adhesive to a frame and let it dry.
  3. Later, I painted the strip with a white wall paint, so that it no longer looks like polystyrene and also helps to conceal the pasted corners.
  4. On eBay I ordered a 12-pack of 3D butterflies as decoration.
