Diet change - my experiences

There is no dream figure that is simply there with a miracle diet in a short time. There are only other dishes, other snacks, different eating habits. I realized that now. I only had? 5 kilos too much. I'll get away quickly, I thought. Then there was a program on TV that impressed me a lot. 2 women and 1 man with many pounds overweight had to write down what they eat from morning to night. That was the basis for a change in diet.

3 people on TV are on a diet

A nutrition expert has designed personal eating plans for all three. The woman, who constantly eats sweet snacks in between meals, is to have a rich breakfast and at 16 o'clock to eat a nice main course. Then nothing. A woman who eats a lot for breakfast and 2 hot meals with meat, should eat purely vegan. The man who eats with much pleasure in the evening very much and wine to drink, should try the 3 + 1 diet. That means he is allowed to eat for 3 days, which he likes but not too much. Then he should fast one day totally, drink only water as drink.

That's what the three people did for six weeks. The result: The sweet tooth did not manage to eat anything between the two meals. She has eaten in between her beloved treats. Result: 1 kilo less.


The woman with the vegan diet had received a package of food and recipes. That helped her to change her diet. Result: 6 kilos less. Great pleasure! In the future she would rather feed on vegetarian food and also eat eggs and dairy products.

The man with the interval nutrition plan has suffered severely during the first week. But he was so desperate with his overweight that he endured the frustration: "I pull that through !? He lost 9 kilos and was overjoyed. He said that he wants to keep doing this.

My personal nutrition plan

After watching this program, I knew how to do it. I know very well that certain foods are not good for me. In the first place are bread & Co. In the second place are cakes and pies. Sweet fruit, red meat and sausage, I do not like to eat anyway. What remains? Vegetables, white meat, fish and eggs, cheese, yogurt, low-fat quark, tofu, oat soy drink, porridge and porridge, corn waffles, rice waffles, rusks, homemade jam, home-baked low-sugar cakes. And many many delicious teas, the favorite tea is currently a turmeric tea.


Do not eat carbohydrates after 4pm

Then I started to change my diet. Very important: do not eat any carbohydrates after 4 pm. Why? Because they increase blood sugar levels and deplete insulin. And insulin prevents the organism from losing fat. So complicated is that. And what is not allowed to eat after 4 pm? Pasta, bread, rolls, baguette, cakes, biscuits and ... Alcohol is also taboo. But I do not drink that anyway. The reason: my mother has the eye disease AMD, that is the age-related macular degeneration. The ophthalmologist advised her to abstain from alcohol altogether. Because he is a great disease maker for the eyes. This scared me and I also wanted to motivate my mother to give up her beloved glass of wine. I live well without, as I have said here a few times.

The result

In short, I have been changing my diet for 14 days and eating no more than 1000 calories a day. I have already lost 2 kilos. It's not as bad as I thought. I almost do not feel hungry at all. Appetite for a sweet treat is often there, but there are healthy snacks. I write another report about that. It is also not easy to look at great pieces of cake and delicious sandwiches in the bakeries. Eyes shut and go for it! A big stress factor is the freezing that comes every afternoon. Right now in the freezing cold. Oh my, I can stand it! A hot ginger tea always helps.

Everyone finds his way

A personal diet change is not easy. You have to be honest and self-critical. Why do I like to eat and often stuff that makes you fat - frustration? Stress? Lonliness? Enjoyment of enjoyment? Because everyone at the table feed the cream pie and I do not want to stand aside? Everyone has their personal way to overweight (if you were not born with this predisposition). And everyone will find a way to get out of there. Finding and walking this path is a big job. Old habits always come crept up somewhere. When they are there, they can be allowed. Conscious and without guilt. And then it goes on the new way on and on ...

My advice

Lean quark as a substitute for meat. He is ideal as a protein supplier. To make it really creamy, a little trick: Put the curd cheese in a bowl and add a few tablespoons of water. Stir vigorously with the whisk until the curd is soft and creamy. Tastes delicious with low-sugar jam or fresh herbs!
