DIY card for Mother's Day with paper flowers and hearts
If you still need a last minute Mother's Day gift or just a creative card for your mom, you may like to be inspired by the following DIY. The card was fast and easy to make even for me as a craft rivet. Even if she does not look perfect - it's about Mama being happy. ;-)
I made a card with flowers and hearts as a decoration. The colors of the flowers and what you write on the front you can of course vary according to your taste.
That's what you need:
- Four small squares (I just used four small square notebooks)
- Crayons, crayons, watercolors or watercolors (which one finds most beautiful personally)
- Scissors and glue stick
How to proceed:
flowers
For the flowers you take three of the four small squares. The following explains how to make a flower. For the other two just repeat the steps.
- First you paint the square in one color. I simply used wax crayons because unfortunately I have no watercolor paints at home.
- Now fold it in the middle from tip to tip creating a triangle. Fold two more times from tip to tip, so you end up with a very small triangle.
- Now you cut out point C of the triangle and also rounds off point B (see sketch).
- If you unfold the paper, a cute flower with eight petals has been created.
- Next, cut out one of the eight petals and glue the adjacent petals together. A kind of "3D flower"? arises.
heart
For the hearts, take the remaining small square. Out of one arise 4 hearts.
- First paint the square red.
- Now you just walk like the flowers (step 2-4).
- Once the paper has been unfolded, it can be seen that always two of the eight petals look like a heart. All you have to do is cut it out and get 4 little hearts.
For the card, I simply took a colored sheet of A4 paper (light blue) and folded in the middle. Now I have arranged the paper flowers and hearts on the front and glued on. Finally, all the love for Mother's Day? written on it with a golden pen and the mother's day card was ready. In the picture gallery you can find more pictures of the single steps.
I wish you a lot of fun crafting and trying and wish you all a wonderful Mother's Day! :-)
