Do not embarrass in the restaurant with the wine "taste"
I find the following quite amusing: I sit in a restaurant and watch the couple ordering a bottle of wine at the next table. After a few minutes, the waiter comes back to the table with the good drop, removes the cork and gives (usually the Lord) a small sip of wine in the glass.
The tester swings the glass exuberantly, smells in, in short, acts as if he understands something of wine, takes a sip, tastes ... and then he nods vigorously and says "Hmmm, very good!" and encourages the waiter to pour the wine of his companion and himself.
I always think: What would happen if the tester forgave his face and did not like the wine ... Let go back? Sorry, friend, but the wine is ordered and opened ... had to pay then :-)
Let me tell you "wine connoisseurs" a secret: this tasting is not to determine if you like the wine. The purpose of tasting wine is to find out if the wine is correct. And if the wine is correct, then you can let it go back.
Therefore, do not philosophize too much, try wine and just nod if it does not taste like cork. That's it, with more you just make a monkey ;-)
