Dough lid for a covered apple pie

Baking an apple pie is not a problem for many, but a covered cake with delicious lemon pouring is more difficult. Most of the time the lid fails to hang up.

Here is my tip

  1. After making the pie dough, remove the appropriate amount of dough for the lid.
  2. Take apart the springform pan, place a layer of baking paper on the bottom and close the ring (see photo).
  3. Now lay out the dough for the lid in the springform pan.
  4. Open the mold and remove the dough lid with the baking paper.
  5. Now close the mold again, lay out with dough, bring in the filling, and put the lid up with the baking paper, slowly peel off the baking paper and push the finished cake into the oven. The lid fits exactly on the cake.
  6. After cooling, spread with icing and serve.
