Drain and degrease roasted

Time and again it bothered me that I used too much kitchen roll when I wanted to degrease fried food: How much kitchen paper does it take to rid excess fritters, fish sticks, schnitzels, poultry cuts or meatballs of excess fat? Too many!

I have begun to drain the greasy food on a large pan sprinkler, under which I lay several layers of newspaper. We read two dailies every morning and therefore have enough "drip paper".

Photo 2 shows that the grease runs smoothly through the splash guard.

I dispose of the oil-soaked pages of the daily paper in the rubbish bin, the undamaged pages as usual in the paper bin.

It saves a lot of kitchen paper when you reach for what you have disposed of anyway. It should be remembered, however, that only newsprint is absorbent. Glossy brochures or the TV newspaper are no alternative.
