Drive out wasps and hornets
How do I chase wasps and hornets? When a wasp is approaching on the balcony, or when a wasp is about to fly into the room, clap as loudly and "gaudily" as possible into its hands, again and again, until the wasp takes flight.
Of course, the escape route for the wasp must be free, that is, you can not stand in the balcony door and clap, for example, if the wasp is to fly out of the room. The same works with hornets. Simultaneously with the clapping I call also short and loud sounds, like "Hei!" or "get away!"
In my opinion, this works because the insects pick up the sudden loud sound through their body orifices and they feel uncomfortable.
This tip does not work near the nest, because the shoot of the animals to protect the brood is greater than the fear of the bang. In wasps you have to cover sweet as odor-proof as possible, so not only with a grate hood, because the addiction to sweets is very large in them. Actually sympathetic, this weakness!
If wasps become too aggressive, or if young children are at risk, they can be "gobbled" between their flat hands with a gossip, immediately falling down to the ground and unconscious for a few seconds. At this time, one moves away, the wasp then starts again to crawl, and flies away. If you can not get away, and there is no other option, you can kill the wasp with the shoe. Never kill a wasp without necessity! They are God's creatures and important to our environment!
Be careful when "splashing", the wasp falls vertically downwards, so e.g. not over the pram or over other persons ausklatschen! Nothing can happen to your own hands, because the wasp can not use its sting in the short time.
In early summer, when the (conspicuously large) wasp and hornet queens seek a place for their nest, I banish every queen on the balcony or at the house entrance so she builds her nest somewhere else.
