Dustbuster vacuum cleaner sucks again
Insufficient suction power with vacuum cleaners - bring the Dustbuster vacuum cleaner back to sucking.
We have a Black & Decker Dustbuster vacuum cleaner. The suction power had dropped sharply, almost zero. After reading the amount of calls for help on the net, I did not have much hope of achieving anything but I did not want to give up so quickly. The filter looked clean and otherwise the exterior too.
First, I removed the dust filter and the filter housing and blown out, the suction power had not improved. Afterwards, I used 8bar compressed air to blow into the proboscis, into the small grid in front of the engine filter and into all other openings several times, while moving the jet of air in the openings back and forth.
Contrary to expectations, an impressive amount of lint, hair and other dirt came out. Then the suction power was again perfect.
When I think about how seemingly clean the filter housing, the proboscis and the filter looked before the action, I can only guess that the many sufferers and seekers, such a treatment of the devices with compressed air, certainly many of the Akkusauger be brought back to life could!
