Dye worn jeans

Since I now have four pretty bleached jeans, which are still good in material but simply not tolerable by the color, I decided to re-dye them. After some online research, I decided to dye with "simplicol Textil-Echtfarbe" in the color navy blue.

So you need:

  • dyeing jeans (I took 4 pieces, on the package are recommended a maximum of 3, but I did not want to dark shade and therefore have one more).
  • 1x simplicol-Textil-Echtfarbe in navy blue (including fixing powder)
  • 1x coloring salt, I also took this from simplicol (70 cents), but probably goes with table salt)

I bought the paint in the drugstore around the corner (just under 7 euros).

What you have to do then - see also coloring instructions:

Wash jeans (if dirty) or moisten, add to washing machine together with salt and fixing powder and start program at 40 ° C, add color after 5 minutes and run the program to completion, then wash again with normal washing powder.

So takes something (2 or 3 washes), but the result can be in my opinion really look great! The jeans character has been preserved to some extent, i. Areas that used to be darker are a bit darker now, and the color is exactly as hoped - not too pale and not too dark! Just take a look at the photos!

Good luck with re-coloring!
