Employment opportunities for (domestic) cats
Especially with home cats, it is particularly important to offer them a lot of variety and play opportunities to compensate for the lack of clearance.
We have therefore procured various employment toys, all of which are very well received. Fool boards and activity boards not only provide employment, but can also promote the cat's cognitive abilities. As an incentive, of course, serve the various treats that are hidden or distributed in it. In our case, I like to take some dry food because our cats are not at leisure and they only get wet food.
In addition to the Fummel boards, we also have a machine that uses a timer to throw out a few treats every half hour or every hour. (Incidentally, we only use grain-free dry food and freeze-dried meat as a treat in between.)
Thus, the cats are also provided for prolonged absence of their people and always have something to do and nibble.
We have had good experiences with these employment materials that can be purchased at the pet store and we are happy with our well-balanced home cats.
