Energy saving while showering

To save energy while showering, there are several options. Ultimately, however, it is always about reducing the amount of water that needs to be heated.

Tips:

1. Cold shower - not always pleasant, but very effective.

2. flow regulator (there are also shower heads) - reduces the amount of water (and thus the warm water), nice side effect is a reduced limescale, but they are not everywhere used (so well informed before buying).

3. Only let water run when needed.

4. Use plugs - depending on the level of the shower tray, you can estimate how long you have been showering. If the tub is almost full, you should be ready. Positive side effect (in winter): the water remaining in the shower tray can still give off heat to the room. However, it is also important to ensure that the humidity does not increase too much (danger of mold).
