Expensive school materials
Every year, my daughter and I get a gigantic piece of paper with expensive school supplies that they need this year (mostly art).
And that all goes into the money box pretty much. Since my daughter is only in the 6th Class, I'm a little surprised that she needs such funny and specific things, such as a paper wiper, ink, full-pencil pencils, charcoal pegs from pasture, round soft pastels, etc.
Until then, I've been through with a smile, but when I realized that they needed a costly fixative (about 16 E) for the third time, I decided to get together with several parents so that they could our children now for the second time the fixative and thus also share the price.
If you now think that it will empty sooner, it is not. Because my child has to buy the art materials every six months.
I hope I could make you realize that you do not have to be embarrassed to tell someone that you are overpriced and ask if you can share it, just say what's on your mind.
P.S. we even had to look for formic acid once but could not find it anywhere. Then we went to a pharmacy and the pharmacist told us that she can not give us that because it causes explosions ...
By this I want to tell you that if your kids need funny things for the school, they are not the only ones!
