Fast and juicy apple pie

Total preparation time: 45 min.

Because we have a lot of apples this year, we have apple pies every afternoon right now. And so that this is not a monotonous matter, I always change the varieties.

In the process, I came up with a recipe that has since become my favorite apple pie recipe. Because the cake is done quickly and tastes very good.


ingredients

For the ground:

  • 100 g of flour
  • 100 g of butter
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt

For covering:

  • 5-7 big apples, depending on how high I want the cake
  • about 1/2 L of water
  • 1 pck. Pudding powder, vanilla flavor
  • Sugar to taste

preparation

  1. Mix all the ingredients for the dough into a smooth dough, place in a greased springform pan and bake for about 15 - 20 minutes. (Make a stick test!)
  2. I peel the apples, remove the cores and cut the apple slices into small pieces. I boil it with the water and sugar in a saucepan and then stir the custard powder mixed with cold water into the boiling liquid.
  3. When this becomes clear, the cake coating is ready and can be poured onto the dough base. (Place the cake ring around the cake bottom!) Then cool the apple mass and let it solidify.

When cooking the apples, I make sure that the pieces of apple remain whole and do not become applesauce.

This was my version for making on the stove. I myself use my Thermomix, it's easier. So I add the pudding powder to the apples in the water and cook the pieces of apple with the setting "return". So they are not pureed, but remain still healty pieces.
