Fight aphids

This tip is about how to fight aphids successfully and easily with CO2 gas.

After last year, because of aphids, many of the newly purchased plants have finally come in and I also this year the same fate bloomed, I have now come up with something.

And although I have small plants including pot, etc. packed in transparent plastic bags airtight, then sealed so that a hose about 1 meter long from the bag hangs.

Now I have taken from my aquarium, the Bio Co2 plant and connected there. After not too long, the bag fills with the gas and a day later are really all aphids lifeless.

How to easily build a Bio Co2 system yourself, can be found quickly on the Internet. In my case, I've done that with 2 conventional plastic bottles (1.5 L). One filled with 200 g of sugar and a (bottle) cap of dry yeast.

In addition, I wash the generated gas through a second bottle filled with normal water (so it does not smell like yeast) and then lead it directly into the bag with the hose.

Have very good experiences with it. It is a cheap alternative and what you need, you always have at home, plus that the gas is really everywhere and also caught the last aphid.

For those who do not want to build a CO2 system, can also without joke, the tube to a Sodastream hold, I've done, until I come to the Bio Co2 plant: o)

In the pictures you see, for example a heavily infested sundew, which was weakened by these little animals.
