Fire without grill lighter: faster and cheaper to the destination

Once I heard the comment: "I do not understand why the coal is not sold right away with grill lighter or spirit." Clearly: because you do not need one!

Here is a method from Chile:

Take a wine or beer bottle and put it in the middle of the barbecue. Then take a newspaper page and roll it up lengthwise (preferably twisting a bit). Then knot around the bottle. Repeat this process until the bottle is surrounded by 15-20 cm of "Newspaper Nodes" in height (more or less depending on the planned size of the fire and amount of coal). Coal or briquette pieces are then layered around this tower, with the largest pieces lying deeper and closer if possible. When the construct is complete (all in all a work of only 5 minutes), carefully pull the bottle upwards (!!!). Using a match or lighter, light a piece of paper or paper ball and light it in the "paper chimney" (start low).

Normally, that should be enough for the coals to glow properly soon. If not, blow something, the remaining tubers of paper quickly burn up, and the embers are transferred to the coal. Works guaranteed, and the weekly display also serves its purpose ;-)
