Fluoride-free toothpaste

Whether fluoride in the toothpaste is healthy or not, there is already enough to find on the net and everyone may form his own opinion. I started a self-experiment earlier this year and would like to report:

The basic requirement for me is sufficient oral hygiene. I use a modern sonic toothbrush, at least 2 times a day for about 4 minutes. In the evening, the interdental spaces are cleaned beforehand with an interdental brush and, where it is a little more inaccessible, with dental floss or tooth tape. Then the tongue is cleaned with a tongue cleaner and some toothpaste.

Now it's time for your teeth. Since January, I clean with fluoride-free tooth creams / gels. At first I took the Weleda children's tooth, which I found very pleasant. Then I went over to the Weleda-Marigold toothpaste, where I will stay in the end. Now I try the lavera base sensitive toothpaste, from which one should only take a pea-sized amount, as it foams very much. It contains, among other Echinacea, propolis and silica cleaning body. It is quite pleasant in the taste and something "chalky" in the feeling, which does not disturb however further. Can one get used to it and the price is o.k.

Now I test the salvia gals of Madaus. I do not know if she really does not contain fluoride. It is not mentioned explicitly. It contains fennel, carnation, horse mint, sage and thyme. Again, take only a small amount, as it tastes quite "spicy" for menthol. For me she is nothing to stay with. Price is also o.k.

My favorite is and will remain the Weleda Calendula Toothpaste. It contains, among other things, calcium carbonate (chalk) as a cleaning agent, calendula, myrrh and fennel for a pleasant feeling of freshness as a menthol substitute. I find that to be the most pleasant feature, that it is not "sharp". It has no foaming agents, which one gets used to very quickly.

My last visit (in August) to the trusted dentist proved to me that fluoride-free brushing does not have any disadvantages, rather advantages. It's all OK. been.

I'm looking forward to your opinions.
