Freeze sausage or cheese in portions

Since in a 1-person household always the sausage or cheese became bad, if they were a few days "open" in the refrigerator, I went over to freeze them in portions.

Otherwise I would have to eat ham or salami etc. every day so that it does not get bad. That will be over quickly.

For this I cut several layers of baking paper the size of sausage or cheese slices. I then always take a slice of paper, a slice of sausage (or cheese) - then vent the whole layers into a freezer bag and at the top with a vacuum device, weld and freeze everything.

Sounds awkward, but I always have fresh meat. Fat sausage should be used up soon, it can turn rancid.

The baking paper does not stick together and I can always get one or two slices for the next day and put them in the fridge (in a Tupperbox or something).
