Freeze soup in convenient portions
For example, Chicken noodle soup with freshly cooked vegetables, a dream. But if you still have some of it left and you want to freeze it, this is best done in silicone muffin molds.
These are filled to capacity and then placed in the freezer for freezing. After about 2 hours I pull left and right freezer bag over it, to protect against freezer fire. (Or you have a huge freezer bag, that will be easier)
So you can if you feel like soup, just take out the portion that you really need.
