From the resort to take sausages home - no freezer - how to get the cooler cold?
If the resort is famous for ham, sausages and cheese, the souvenir problem for the family has already been solved. No wooden carved view of the Watzmann - no witch's doll vom Brocken - no, everyone is happy about a piece of delicious ham or home-made sausage.
We solved the problem with cooling as follows:
In our apartment in Franconia, there is a fridge, but no freezer. From home, we bring a cooler and cold packs. One night before the trip home you either ask the kindly friendly hosts to put our batteries in their freezer, or you go to the butcher, where you shop and ask for two bags of sealed ice cubes.
This could be announced the evening before departure and at the same time give up the ham order.
We have often tried both possibilities successfully and brought home the famous Franconian "Wörscht" without loss of quality.
