Fruit fly trap / Wasp trap to build from PET bottle
You can easily build a fruit fly trap from an old PET bottle yourself.
For this you cut off an old PET bottle (without a deposit) from the "head". You will then receive a kind of funnel.
You then put this funnel upside down into the lower part of the bottle and stick it on top with plenty of Tesafilm.
The system basically works like the other explained options like "glass with beer mat", but it's almost impossible for the critters to get out of the bottle.
Once inside, try to get up out of the bottle (always up to the light).
If you build this as a fruit fly trap, it's best to fill in balsamic vinegar. Add a drop of rinsi, so that the surface tension of the vinegar is gone.
If you make it a wasp trap, take sugar water or fruit juice.
The good thing about the bottle variant is that you can just throw it away when it's vol. So you do not need to touch anything anymore.
