Garden table top - like new

Since I catch rainwater with the sloping garden table (see other tip of yours ;-))), the table top is gray, dull and unsightly. Our round Kettler table e.g. is dark brown, made of plastic (Verzalit), with wood grain and has about 25 years on the plate. So I bring her always in "top shape":

Rub generously some cheap edible oil on it with a thick, soft cloth (do not forget the edge) and rub and polish with a fresh, absorbent cloth 2-3 times. What works for wooden tables, works also here:

The color is refreshed, dirt and minor scratches disappear and the satin gloss of the plate peps up the table again tremendously. Now you do not have to hide anything anymore with the ugly garden tablecloths or other plastic blankets (which stick to the skin anyway). Beautiful placemats in colorful colors or those made of bamboo look much more noble on the "new" plate. This cleaning I do often in between, in the rain everything is quickly cleared and my rainwater collection point again set up. All a nice rest gardening season! PS: Rain has to be ...
