Garlic against plant pests

Countless black pests sat and ate on my self-drawn flowers. Since I'm against poison of all kinds, I've tried the following.

I took the dried grated garlic, actually intended for the kitchen, put a tablespoonful of it in half a liter of cold water and left it for half a day. Then I cut it off, put the garlic water in a spray bottle and sprayed all my affected plants. After only 2-3 days, not a single pest was seen. My flowers are very grateful.
