Now that the apples are ripe, says a sunken apple pie. For this I use:
- 300 g of butter
- 300 g of sugar
- 5 big eggs
- 1 cl rum (or 1 vial of rum flavor)
- 200 g of flour
- 150/175 g wheat starch
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- about 800 to 1200 g apples, depending on the size, these are peeled, gutted and cut into small pieces
Work steps: Butter, sugar frothy, add eggs and rum and stir, then mix flour, wheat starch and baking powder and stir. All operations can be carried out with the mixer. Then add apples to a wooden spoon and put in a well greased flour-dusted dish. I prefer a flat shape, (so-called Springform) and who likes, sprinkles on the ground about 75 g (1 bag) of planed almonds.
Bake in oven preheated to 200 degrees and then set back to 180 degrees for approx. 75 minutes at top bottom heat. (10 degrees less in hot air). After baking, let it cool over on a (narrow) wire rack and dust with powdered sugar.
