Get dripping wet clothes "spin dry"

This trick helps when clothes - especially after hand washing - are dripping wet and you have too little strength to wring them out well:
Take a terry towel, spread it out and also lay the garment on it. Then you roll up the towel like a biscuit roulade, clamp one end between your thighs (or press it - if available - into a helper's hand) and start spinning at the other end.

The moisture is then in the towel and not in the garment - it is at least as dry as after a spin in the machine.
