Glögg (Scandinavian red wine punch)
For a liter in a saucepan boil together:
ingredients
- 12 tablespoons orange juice (if possible without pulp)
- 12 tbsp white port (or white sherry, that works too)
- 500 ml red wine (dry)
- 3-4 tbsp sugar (to taste)
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2-3 cloves
- 12 tbsp brown rum (40%, who uses higher percentage rum, should reduce the amount to half that it tastes good)
Info: 12 tablespoons equals just under 150 ml, if you prefer to measure.
preparation
Serve in heat-resistant grog glasses (or even in a glass jug), refine with almonds and raisins.
It tastes great and you do not freeze afterwards.
