Glögg (Scandinavian red wine punch)

For a liter in a saucepan boil together:

ingredients

  • 12 tablespoons orange juice (if possible without pulp)
  • 12 tbsp white port (or white sherry, that works too)
  • 500 ml red wine (dry)
  • 3-4 tbsp sugar (to taste)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2-3 cloves
  • 12 tbsp brown rum (40%, who uses higher percentage rum, should reduce the amount to half that it tastes good)

Info: 12 tablespoons equals just under 150 ml, if you prefer to measure.

preparation

Serve in heat-resistant grog glasses (or even in a glass jug), refine with almonds and raisins.

It tastes great and you do not freeze afterwards.
