Yesterday I once again tried a different casserole with gnocchi. A gnocchi and spinach casserole with ham.
ingredients
The ingredients are enough for 3-4 servings.
- 450 g creamed spinach (deep-frozen)
- some nutmeg
- 1 onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1-2 tbsp oil
- 250 g ham cubes
- some flour
- 100 ml clear broth
- 200 ml sour cream
- 2 eggs
- Salt pepper
- 100 g of grated cheese (I had Edam)
- 1 tbsp chive rolls
- 500 g of fresh gnocchi and some sunflower seeds.
preparation
- First, I thawed the frozen spinach with 100 ml of water, covered in a saucepan, for about 15-20 minutes with moderate heat and stirred several times. Finally, then briefly boiled, seasoned with nutmeg and seasoned with pepper and salt.
- Then peel the onion and garlic, dice the onion and chop garlic, stir-fry in a pan with the hot oil, add the ham cubes and fry briefly.
- Then the flour is dusted over it, briefly with swirling and sweaty with the broth, further stirred until boiling and simmer for about 5 minutes, this one has to stir more often and then the whole thing is mixed under the spinach.
- I whisked the sour cream with the eggs, seasoned with salt and pepper and stirred in the grated cheese and chives.
- I then boiled the gnocchi gently in plenty of salted water for about 2 minutes, drain and place in a greased casserole dish.
- Then spread the spinach and ham sauce, pour over the egg cream and cheese sauce and sprinkle with sunflower seeds.
- Then the whole thing came into the oven, which I had preheated to 200 degrees (top and bottom heat) and after 40 minutes, the casserole was then finished.
He tasted great, only the gnocchi had become quite soft; maybe you should not cook them first, just give them as they are! I will test it next time.
