Grünkern meatballs

ingredients

  • 200 g of green corn meal
  • 1/2 l broth
  • 1 big onion
  • 1-2 eggs
  • 50 g of oatmeal
  • 1 tbsp. Oregano
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tablespoon of Parmesan (not the one from the bag, but fresh)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Sesame seeds
  • oil

preparation

  1. Dice onions (without peel) and sauté, add stock and grated green corn and bring to a boil, allow to simmer for about 10 minutes.
  2. Add eggs, oatmeal and the spices, as well as the parmesan (be careful if it is still too hot, do not burn your fingers).
  3. From the mass form meatballs and turn into sesame.
  4. Fry the meatballs in oil for about 3-4 minutes from each side. Do not turn around too soon, otherwise they will break.

Ironically, the children love the meatballs.
