Grandma Hedwig's tomato sauce - ketchup

Preparation time: 20 min.
Cooking or baking time: 50 min.
Total preparation time: 1 hr. 10 min.

Eat 12 1/2 pounds of tomatoes
Cut 250g onions
1 Bd. Parsley (leave completely)
150g salt and 1/2 tablespoon white pepper

Boil slowly for about 20 minutes without adding water, then cook under constant stirring, stroking through a strainer and filling into small glasses (to 1 cm below the rim).


Boil for 1/2 h at 80 to 90 degrees. Alternatively, when cool, place in freezer bags and store in frost.

Depending on whether sauce or ketchup is desired, cook thicker or less thick.

And it is also possible with fewer tomatoes (Grandma had just a 5000qm garden and always a large family to supply), then please down-count ingredients. :-)
