Grate boiled potatoes: peel themselves off
Last week I was too lazy to peel the boiled potatoes before shredding. In the process, I found out that they peel off on their own: The shell is pushed to the side and stays outside the raffle. In the end, the shell remains as a whole or in large pieces.
Of course this only works with boiled potatoes! I have tried it once with still warm, and once with cold from the previous day. Both were solid-boiling varieties.
So if you do not mind eating a small bowl of rösti, you can save a lot of time and work.
I hope you do not already know that? Otherwise try it :)
