Gratinate quince

Quince - baked with quark filling

Since I mean of mine quince I still had a few left, I conjured a sweet dessert, that was very well received by my family.

As ingredients for 4 servings, I took:

4 apple quinces, 250 g quark, 30 g butter, 5 tbsp honey, 120 g chopped hazelnuts (walnuts can be taken for sure), 1 teaspoon grated orange peel and 1 packet vanilla sugar.

I quenched the quince well, halved lengthwise, generously freed from the core casing and placed with the cut surface upwards on a baking sheet. Then they first came for about 15 minutes in the preheated to 200 ° C oven.

In the meantime, I mixed the quark with honey, vanilla sugar, nuts and orange peel.

After the 15 minutes, the tin with the pre-baked quinces was taken out of the oven, filled with the quark mixture, the butter was spread in little flakes on top and baked for another 10 minutes.

The hot quince halves, we have each enjoyed with a scoop of vanilla ice cream - very, very delicious!

It's a pity that I have no more quinces.

But maybe I'll get some at the vegetable stand tomorrow ...!
