Gratinated fish bake with a brewed cheese crust

Time

Total preparation time: 1 hr.

The recipe I recently tried and was totally thrilled, how delicious it is. Just fish in a different way. You need:

ingredients

  • Fish fillet, one per person or depending on hunger more or less (salmon, redfish, plaice or even the already fried leftovers from the day before)
  • Vegetables (what you have in the fridge: mushrooms, peppers, onions, etc.)
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 100 ml of milk
  • Cheese for baking
  • 1-2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • Herb butter
  • Spices: salt, pepper, possibly lemon juice, chayenne pepper

preparation

  1. Sauté the vegetables in the herb butter, add a small dash of water and steam slightly.
  2. Make the butter, the flour and the milk into a bechamel sauce (heat the butter with the flour in a saucepan with a strong stir, then add the milk and bring to a boil until a thick sauce is produced).
  3. Season the bechamel sauce with the spices.
  4. Place the vegetables in a casserole dish, place the lightly salted and peppered fish fillet (or the day before) on the vegetables, cover the bechamel sauce (so that the fish is completely covered with it) and cover with the cheese and breadcrumbs.
  5. 45 minutes at 200 degrees convection in the oven and done. Tastes great.

The menen of the sauce is for 2 large fillets. Depending on the amount of fish, the amount of sauce must then be adjusted.

tip

Of course it tastes best with fresh fish fillet. In my case, it was a Viktoriabarschfilet on a bed of onions, mushrooms and red pepper.
