Greeting, congratulatory and mourning cards made by yourself

Whether birthday, wedding, baptism, passed exam, move or death, cards for every occasion are available in many colors, shapes and variations and actually everywhere to buy. Sometimes for less than 1.00 euros, sometimes - with high-quality copies - sometimes for a few euros more available.

But: Do you really like the cards? Is such a card really personal?

I asked myself this question a few years ago and answered it with "no".

Through my mother I came up with some blanco "double cards", so 1x folded cards in the format C6 (folded) in white and pastel colors. For a long time the cards were in a drawer, but at some point I turned my attention to the cards.

I created an A5 document as a template with 2 pages in a word processing program. Now there's two options that I've used or still use.

Either one works with two-column text or one creates over the sheet a table with two columns. You can then insert text, poems, pictures, etc. into the text columns or table columns.

I usually have on the first page on the right side of the title page with a short spell. On the second page is then left a poem or a spell and right then comes a personal note, salutation. Signature, etc.

Then I first print the outside, then I put the card the other way into the printer and print the inside.

Last but not least, you can edit the map creatively, eg. B. with ribbons, beads, punching motives, gel / Glitterstiften, etc.

My last result was a pastel yellow printed mourning card.

On the front side was a picture (Microsoft Cliparts, free and legal) with a lily and a blurred cross in the background. Above, I wrote "In Silent Compassion" - of course, with a nice but appropriate font.

In the left side of the card I have a nice saying (found on the Internet) printed and on the right inside the card just the names of all people who want to condolence.

Last but not least, I have cut a narrow black strip of construction paper, height according to the bending edge of the map and width about 2 cm. Then I folded this strip lengthwise and rolled it over with "Pritt glue-it glue roller". Prittstift o. Ä. Is synonymous, smears but more.

Then stuck the strip on the edge of the card, so that on the front left was a black narrow strip and on the back just as well. Finding it nicer and more relaxed than printing the strip on the card.

Unfortunately, I did not have more utensils that fit the map. Glitterstere did not fit a mourning card.

Unfortunately, the card is already sent and I forgot to take a picture. Of course, as soon as possible, with my next card making operation, I will post photos online as fast as possible!

If anyone is interested in the Word templates (portrait and landscape ß but without text and image patterns) have, just get in touch.
