Gugelhupf pumpkin with cream cheese and cinnamon cream

Cooking or baking time: 1 hour 40 minutes
Total preparation time: 2 hours 40 min.

You never get enough of juicy pumpkin pie! That's why I baked it twice, put it on top of each other and made a pumpkin. So is the "boring"? Sponge cake to eye catcher on the cake buffet.

I have used a small Gugelhupfform with a diameter of 17 cm. If you are using a larger one, you will need to convert the amount of dough to make some more dough.


(Gugelhupfform: diameter 17 cm)

For the dough:

  • 400 g pumpkin (for example Hokkaido)
  • 150 g of ground hazelnuts
  • 4 eggs
  • 300 g of butter
  • 150 g of sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 300 g of flour
  • 2 teaspoons of baking soda
  • 1 pinch of salt

For the cream:

  • 150 g cream cheese
  • 50 g butter
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
