Gyros rice dish

Total preparation time: 40 min.

If you have to go fast again ... Gyros rice pan recipe for 4 people ...

ingredients

  • about 500 g gyros (butcher, or even seasoned, then it is not fast)
  • Vegetables of your choice (peppers, zucchini ... gladly leftovers)
  • about 300 g of rice
  • 2 - 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • Salt, pepper, paprika, thyme ...

preparation

  1. Fry the gyros in a large pan. Add the vegetables and fry.
  2. Stir in the tomato purée and rice and add liquid (water, broth, wine ...). Spice up.
  3. You need a lot of fluid, because the rice absorbs everything. Simply pour in between.
  4. The whole simmer for about 30 minutes (time to hang the laundry, etc. ...)
  5. Of course stir in between, and as I said, pour liquid (who likes, even a dash of cream).

If you like mushy rice, just let it simmer for a few minutes longer.


Tzatziki to it, mmh yummy!

Not only fast and tasty, also in the kitchen not much was used! Cutting board, knife, pan and a wooden spoon ... ergo quickly clean again! ;)
