Hörnli with Ghacktes

Have cooked one of my favorite dishes again today. I got to know the recipe in Switzerland and I always find it delicious.

ingredients

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 2 small onions
  • 250 g Hörnli (croissant) noodles
  • 1 tbsp instant meat broth
  • cooking fat
  • Salt pepper
  • about 800 ml of water

preparation

  1. Finely dice onions and sauté until roasted flavors form, then add the minced meat, lightly season (pepper to taste, salt at most very little, as the broth also contains salt) and roast well until it is nice crumbly.
  2. Then add the water and a heaping tablespoon of granulated broth and bring to a boil. Then add the (raw) pasta, stir well and on a small scale (my induction cooker has 10 stages and I choose the 4) with lid for 20 minutes to simmer. Occasionally stir occasionally. And do not worry, the "normal" cooking time of the noodles can be safely ignored, but they will not be too soft.
  3. If you like, you can add some grated Emmentaler before serving, I like it without being very good.

The special twist of the dish is that the noodles are cooked together with the minced meat and therefore have much more flavor than if they are cooked separately.
