Harvest salad at kitchen window and healthy recipe suggestions

If you have neither garden nor balcony, you can breed salad in a balcony box in the kitchen by the window and harvest plenty of it. A few weeks ago I sowed lettuce and salad herbs in a flower box, which has made wonderful in my kitchen and now almost occupy the entire window.

The flower box contains arugula, savory, sorrel, chopped garlic, dandelion and lettuce. You can make a daily salad rich in vitamins and mix the salad / herbs with quark or make a green sauce with it.

So if you have no way to pull salad and herbs outside the apartment, you should try the kitchen window.

I have had very good experiences with it and here is also a recipe for a light vitamin-rich summer meal:

"Green Sauce Freestyle":

Ratzfatz is randomly trimmed the existing green from the planter. Dandelion, lettuce, garlic, lettuce, sorrel and arugula are washed in addition to other plants still present in the box, shaken dry, finely chopped and in

  • 250 g of natural yoghurt
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 100 g of creme fraiche
  • and 200 g of quark stirred
  • There are also two finely chopped gherkins
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • Salt, pepper, a few drops of lemon juice, 2 teaspoons of hot mustard complete the whole thing

Parsley potatoes and soft-boiled eggs are enough to indulge in the vitamin noise.

Also quark with the lettuce plants, spring onions, zucchini and peppers (see photo 2) make a wonderful dish to spring potatoes.
