Hearty beer goulash

A hearty goulash variant that will not only be enjoyed by men.

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pork goulash
  • 1 big onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 tsp hot mustard
  • 400 ml of beer (if possible, strong or black beer)
  • 200 ml vegetable broth
  • Salt, pepper, paprika powder
  • possibly sauce binder for thickening
  • Sour cream or Creme fraiche Cheese
  • Frying fat or oil

preparation

  1. Heat the fat and fry the meat in it vigorously and season.
  2. If the meat is well browned, add the chopped onion and the carrot and garlic, fry the tomato paste and mustard and fry briefly.
  3. Now deglaze with the beer and let it boil, fill up with the vegetable broth and simmer for about 40 minutes.
  4. Maybe thicken with sauce binder or a roux and with some sour cream or Refine Crème fraîche.

For this purpose, e.g. Spaetzle, potatoes, puree or dumplings.
