Hearty noodle casserole with ham

Ingredients for the noodle casserole

  • 250 g spiral noodles
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • pinch of salt
  • 200 g of donated cheese (for example Edam)
  • 200 g cooked ham
  • 2 teaspoons margarine to grease the baking dish
  • 200 g cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tbsp chopped chives
  • freshly ground pepper
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 30 g of margarine

preparation

  1. Cook the noodles in plenty of water with oil and salt until firm, then quench with cold water.
  2. Preheat the oven to 220 ° C.
  3. Cut the ham into short strips and fold under the noodles.
  4. Grease the baking dish, pour in the pasta-ham mixture.
  5. Whisk the cream with eggs and flour, stir in the chives, 125g of the finely ground cheese and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
  6. Pour the mass over the noodles.
  7. Sprinkle the rest of the cheese over the mixture and add the breadcrumbs.
  8. Put the margarine on top as a little flake and then bake in the oven on a medium rack for about 20-30 minutes.

A small farmer's salad fits perfectly.
