Homemade Cream Vanilla Pudding with strawberries

ingredients

  • 1 liter of milk (the one with the most fat content tastes best)
  • 80 g corn starch (wheat or corn starch)
  • 50 g of sugar
  • 1 vanilla pod (or 1 packet of vanilla sugar)
  • 1 cup of cream
  • strawberries

preparation

Whisk 8 tablespoons of milk with the cornstarch.
Pour the remaining milk into the pan and let the halved vanilla pod (or vanilla sugar) boil in (note: do not overcook) and let it simmer for 10 minutes in the hot milk. Scrape out the marrow and bring the milk to a boil again. While doing so add sugar into the milk and the beaten cornflour.

Simmer until the pudding becomes thick. Allow to cool in a water bath, stir again and make sure that no skin forms on the pudding. Beat the cream until stiff and stir under the cooled pudding. Incidentally, if you can do it, otherwise after or before that, clean the strawberries, mince and sugar and sip the homemade vanilla cream pudding.
