Homemade hazelnut liqueur
You need:
1 kg of hazelnuts
1 bottle (0.7 l) of double grain or brandy
250 g of brown sugar candy
1 cinnamon stick
1 vanilla pod
1 untreated lemon
1 large, tight-fitting screw or mason jar (content at least 2 liters)
Coarsely chop the hazelnuts and fry them in the oven or in a pan without fat, allow to cool and fill in the glass.
The peel of the washed lemon, the vanilla pod (sliced lengthwise and scraped, marrow with pod in), add the cinnamon stick, the candy and the alcohol. Close the glass and shake well.
Store cool and dark for about 6-8 weeks, shake vigorously from time to time.
Then run the rather dull liqueur through a coffee filter, repeat if necessary, and then: just enjoy the amber dream :-)
PS: The delicious "tipsy" nuts can be super a couple of weeks in Tupper / airtight in the refrigerator and store gradually in desserts as on ice, in cakes, pastries, cakes, etc. fried ;-)
