Homemade hazelnut liqueur

You need:

1 kg of hazelnuts
1 bottle (0.7 l) of double grain or brandy
250 g of brown sugar candy
1 cinnamon stick
1 vanilla pod
1 untreated lemon

1 large, tight-fitting screw or mason jar (content at least 2 liters)


Coarsely chop the hazelnuts and fry them in the oven or in a pan without fat, allow to cool and fill in the glass.

The peel of the washed lemon, the vanilla pod (sliced ​​lengthwise and scraped, marrow with pod in), add the cinnamon stick, the candy and the alcohol. Close the glass and shake well.

Store cool and dark for about 6-8 weeks, shake vigorously from time to time.

Then run the rather dull liqueur through a coffee filter, repeat if necessary, and then: just enjoy the amber dream :-)

PS: The delicious "tipsy" nuts can be super a couple of weeks in Tupper / airtight in the refrigerator and store gradually in desserts as on ice, in cakes, pastries, cakes, etc. fried ;-)
