Homemade mixture for bath and Kloputzen

When it comes to bath and toilet, it always depends on how many people use it to keep it pleasantly clean. When I was living alone, it was enough to clean once a week - but with a big family you get better used to making the fast rounds every day. And then it is worthwhile to make the work as easy as possible.

I keep it in every bathroom or loo on all the materials that I need. In a spray bottle, I always have a mix extra for the toilets:

1 tbsp all-purpose cleaner and 3 tsp citric acid dissolved in water is in my experience the best compilation.

Depending on the water hardness you need more or less citric acid. The citric acid decalcifies, the all-purpose cleaner removes dirt. Even in such a high dilution of my preferred all-purpose cleaner cleans excellent, but I save by thinning money and the environment the burden.

This spray bottle looks pretty pretty (you can either wash out an old spray bottle or buy a pretty one for yourself) and it's always ready in the bathroom.

So I spray washbasin with vanity, shower screen, toilet and toilet seat, and wait a moment. (In the meantime, I can take off all my towels and put them into my laundry, refill toilet paper etc). Then I take a kitchen towel (from the specially reserved bathroom stacks) and wipe everything in the same order again. The towel then comes in the laundry. (Confession: I used to take kitchen towels for this - maybe old newspaper would sparkle, but I have not tried it yet).

For the toilet I do not use any chemical clubs, but a bit of scouring powder.

Behind the tap on the sink, I always have a small microfiber cloth, rolled up, so that it intercepts drops of water. So I quickly wipe the faucets. If you catch the drops of water daily, you do not have to shoot cannons at sparrows. If there are water spots, the homemade mixture also helps.

I have made it a habit to wipe the washbasin and washbasin each time after washing my hands with the microfibre cloth. If necessary, I also wipe the toilet seat again. I rotate throughout the day through all the toilets of the house :-)

If only a part of my big family is at home, one round a day is enough - in peak times I do it in the evening and in the morning.

All of this quickly becomes an automatic habit and only takes seconds.

So the bathroom and toilet always remain presentable and pleasantly clean.
