Homemade rum balls
From too dry sand cake, crumb cake, Gugelhupf and Co. (yes, even made soft cookies), you can great rum balls produce. For the kids you take instead of real rum, milk with some baking rum flavor.
You need:
- dry cake (and / or softened biscuits)
- 1 - 2 tbsp rum (depending on the amount of cake)
- 1 - 2 tablespoons cocoa (depending on the amount of cake)
- chocolate sprinkles
preparation
Crumble the cake (also the biscuits) in a mixing bowl. Add the rum and use it. Then give the cocoa and continue to knead. If the mass is still too crumbly, add some rum or milk to it. The mass should give but a firmer plasticine. Form smaller or larger balls and turn in the chocolate sprinkles. Then cool these balls and keep cool.
These balls can also give away as a souvenir or goodies, so that others get something from the hip gold.
