Hot dog cake

  • 250 g wheat flour
  • 200 g pickled cucumber slices (from the glass)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 150 g Remoulade (I use the danish)
  • 50 g roasted onions
  • 3 eggs
  • 200 g Mini-sausages
  • 50 g of oil
  • 1 P. baking powder

preparation

  1. You lay out your box baking pan with baking paper and preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
  2. The cucumber slices cut her into rough strips.
  3. Put the flour, salt, remoulade, eggs, oil and baking soda in a mixing bowl and process it into a smooth dough.
  4. If you did not feel like cutting the cucumbers into strips, you can already add them to the dough and "hex" them with your blender.
  5. Now add the minced sausages and roasted onions and set them aside. I've tried long sausages that I put lengthwise through the box, but I did not like the result so much: the sausages burst and the cake slices crumbled quickly.
  6. Now the dough comes into your shape and you sprinkle a few fried onions over it. Press them lightly so they do not get any roaster than they already are.
  7. Bake in the middle slot of your oven and bake for 50 minutes.
  8. After 10 minutes, you release the "Hot Dog" from the box shape and you can decide whether you like to eat it as long as it is warm, or wait until it is a cold dog (cold dog does not mean that at this point the sausage cake transformed into a cake).
  9. The cake is stable for about 3 days and of course you can bake it again if you want to eat it warm. He should also be frozen, but I did not try that.
  10. It also tastes delicious if you spread its sausage cake with some ketchup or remoulade.
