ingredients

  • 500 g wide, green beans (or runner beans) cut into lozenges
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 6 cloves of garlic sliced
  • about 300 g of chorizo ​​sliced
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon soda
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 200 ml of water or soup (beef / vegetable soup)
  • a bit of salt
  • 4-6 cooked and peeled potatoes
  • I did not have fresh parsley in my stock, but if you have, add those

preparation

  1. Cook the green beans until firm. Add the soda to the cooking water - this preserves the rich green color of the beans and saves you from providing ice water that serves the same purpose.
  2. Quench the green beans cold, strain and set aside.
  3. Roast the onions in oil until glazed and add the chorizo ​​and garlic slices.
  4. Over medium heat, chorizo ​​?, you'll see how much red fat comes out. That's important for the juice.
  5. Add the flour and let it fry briefly, add water or soup and simmer until the sauce is creamy.
  6. Now the green beans are added and heated with stirring.
  7. You can add the potatoes with the last step or serve them separately.
  8. Season with a little salt, but be careful as the chorizo ​​is also a bit salty.
