Ice tea as a cold extract saves energy and time

Now in the warm season, iced tea is a pleasant refreshment. I was always annoyed that I first brought the water to a boil and then had to wait so long in the heat until the tea was cold again, until I tried the following (in the herbal kitchen it's called Cold Extract):

Simply hang the tea (whether loose or in a tea bag) in cold water. In order for the water to get tea flavor, you just have to let the tea last longer (at least 10 minutes, the longer the better, you do not even need to take the tea bag out) and lots of stirring. Some fruit teas taste even better as a cold extract.

Currently my favorite blend: black tea, lemongrass, lemon peel, licorice and a dash of lemon juice.
